Role:
Reporting to the Lending Manger, the Title Clerk is responsible for the servicing of members in all aspects of loan administration, to include but not limited to: service loans, perfect lien requirements and process vehicle registration; process title work, insurance tracking and claims; loan maintenance and modifications and processes total loss; provides information and performs research for members, employees, and third party vendors; and performs miscellaneous duties assigned to the Central Lending Department.
Work Location:
This is an onsite position.
Occasional remote work may be available for select positions and is subject to prior approval by management.
What you will be doing:
Supports all functions related to title and registration work, reviews loan files for properly completed documents and verification of title fees collected; resolves outstanding title document and fee issues.
Receives and processes title applications, receipts, and originals; verifies title information, ensures the core systems has accurate information and files titles; performs all steps necessary for loan payoffs; processes white slips and letter of credits; completes release of liens; corresponds with state and county motor vehicle agencies; and notary services.
Complies with all mandated procedures for collateral title and registration in all state and county motor vehicle agencies.
Works exclusively with members, DMV, dealers, etc.
to ensure the Credit Union has a valid lien.
Performs entries, reconciliations, and researches outstanding issues in relevant general ledgers.
Ensures all day-to-day processes are completed accurately and maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
Effectively handles routine to moderate member calls and complaints and forwards escalated calls to the Lending Manager.
Applies sound judgment and refunds Credit Union fees within delegated authority.
Researches and resolves outstanding title or draft issues.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring along:
A high school education or GED.
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Working PC knowledge including word processing, spreadsheet skills and Internet/intranet skills.
