Labatt Food Service is hiring a skilled and seasoned Paralegal- Corporate and Trial Law, to provide comprehensive legal support to Labatt’s in house attorney.
The Paralegal will be responsible for support related to litigation, mediation, and arbitration and will assist in the preparation of legal documents.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Labatt’s attorney and executives to comprehend their business objectives and offer strategic legal solutions.
Undertake legal research and analysis to ensure clients remain apprised of pertinent laws and regulations influencing business operations.
Draft and scrutinize a diverse range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
Prepare template/shell documents and finalize legal documents.
Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations.
Receive and screen communications including telephone calls and e-mail messages and help determine those that require priority attention.
Manage the Attorney’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
Preparation of correspondence, proposals, contracts, and other confidential information/correspondence.
Manage corporate filings and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
3 to 5 years of experience in a paralegal role with a focus on corporate law.
Proficient in legal research and document management.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
