I have a 100% kid safe gelding looking for new home, though no fault of his own, kids just don’t ride him anymore but once every few weeks.
He’s an older guy, around 22, but don’t let that scare you, he thinks he’s 3.
He has no vices, he will ride down highways, across water, dogs, other animals, kids stand on him, slide off of him, he’s good with farrier, loads well in trailer, and easy to catch.
He’s 16 hands and big boned, doesn’t mind carrying a man or 4 kids.
He’s gentle for anyone.
He’s done parades, playdays, trail rides, you name it, he goes with the flow.
Now, being an older horse, he isn’t an easy keeper and definitely needs to be on a high fat senior food and plenty of hay.
He never gets fat, stays on the thin side.
I don’t want him to go to just any home, I would prefer him to be a first horse for a child that desperately wants a horse and will give him the home he deserves! I can hold him till Christmas if needed.
