Bagged Alfalfa Hay - Chaffhaye #2 in 50 Pound Bags - $11 (Harper)

Chaffhaye is alfalfa haylage chopped wet with molasses added immediately to ferment, like silage, and then bagged in heavy mil, air tight, UV protected bags.
It's bagged hay that doesn't need a tarp or barn, is somewhat pre-digested, dust free, weed and seed free.
Fermented alfalfa hay saves the leaves and makes the stems more digestible.
It's loaded with naturally occurring probiotics and can be fed as a complete hay replacement.
What I have available for sale is what Chaffhaye considers #2 grade.
I asked the salesman the definition and here is his response.
"Any product that is "off" a bit from our moisture guidelines or got kicked out by our x-ray machine is classified as #2.

There is no Nutritional guarantee for #2 product.
" They have very exacting standards and guarantee nutritional content for up to 16 months.
He went on to state, "I have some #2 product that is 3 yrs old that I feed to my cows.

I feed in tubs and there is zero waste.
No more hay getting stomped and urinated on and wasted.
I have read that folks are feeding it to Axis and Whitetail deer as well.

You don't get the same nutritional content guarantee as with the Prime #1 grade sold in feed stores for a higher price but then again there is not generally a guarantee of nutritional content in hay bought in traditional bale format either.
These #2 grade bags come out of the same GMO free pastures that are certified to be weed and seed free as the pricier prime #1 grade bags.
I have Chaffhaye #2 in 50 pound bags for $12 each.
