Position Summary
Performs administrative and skilled, complex technical work related to library routines, record systems and services under general supervision.
Responsibilities include performing specialized duties requiring advanced operational skills including training.
Judgment and initiative are frequently exercised in answering verbal and written communications and interpreting departmental policies, rules and regulations.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION: 2 years of post-secondary education
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Demonstrates knowledge of computer software related to position.
Good
communications skills and ability to interact effectively with patrons and staff.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and
complete multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to work independently.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in a library or 2 years experience in a medical or academic
library.
Basic understanding of information literacy.
