Position Summary
St.
Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS) is seeking an an experienced part-time Assistant Track and Field Coach.
Position is expected to coach with the mission of St.
Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; Holistic Education.
This position reports to SACHS Athletic Director.
St.
Anthony Catholic High School prepares young men and women for positions of responsibility and leadership through a college preparatory curriculum based on Catholic values and traditions.
This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX federal regulations and “Mandatory Reporter” under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.
As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations.
These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Job Duties
Job Duty Name Coaching
Description of Job Duties
Assists the head coach with instructing students in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
Assesses student skills, monitors students during competition and practice, and keeps the head coach informed of the athletic performance of students.
Assists with determining game strategy.
Assists the head coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition.
Follows established procedures in the event of an injury.
Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators.
Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security.
Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.
Assists the head coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season.
Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Attends staff development meetings, clinics and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Effective coaching techniques and skills.
Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
Required Education
High School Diploma for part-time positions
Required Work Experience
Two years of coaching experience in track and field.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree.
Experience as a player of the sport.
Some experience as an assistant Track coach at the high school or college level.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Valid CDL or ability to obtain as a condition of employment.
Driving record that is insurable under UIW’s insurance carrier.
Must be 21 years of age.
Work Hours
PT coach hours are Mon-Fri after school (school days only) from 3:30-5:30pm.
