Position Summary
The Peer Career Coach is a student leader dedicated to serving peers through the career development process, working alongside full-time staff in the Career Services office.
Peer Career Coaches (PCCs) are responsible for providing peers with resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn, Handshake, and other professional advice through walk-in advising.
They will conduct individual and small group appointments at various locations and hours around campus.
This is a student position open to current UIW students.
Essential Functions
Developing and assisting students with resumes and cover letters
Assist students with career assessment
Identifying useful career resources
Utilizing Handshake, to search for jobs and internships, and schedule interviews
Assisting students with developing a LinkedIn profile
Promoting career services and career events around the campus -Social media (Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
) -Blogs – Relevant online platforms including career services webpage
Assist with career events
Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours
Peer career coaches will work approximately 20 hours/wk (weeks 1-14 ) and 8 hours/wk (weeks 15-19).
