Job Summary and Description
Delivers, evaluates and assesses faculty learning at college and district-wide faculty development
training sessions.
Develops faculty development courses, enrichment and certification
opportunities that align with the college and district-wide faculty development needs.
This is a 12- month position (1-year fellowship, renewable for up to 3 years).
Dedicates approximately 50% of job each week to fulfilling college-specific faculty development needs and the remaining 50% of each week to designing and delivering faculty development sessions to all faculty.
The faculty fellow should expect to spend about half-time teaching (teaching will be in Faculty Development)
Reports to the Director of Instructional and Professional Development AT HR-District office.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Master’s degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
Three years of proven successful teaching experience in a related teaching and learning
position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Current faculty status at one of the five institutions.
Degree in adult education or a related field.
Three years of experience in a related teaching and learning position.
Experience in faculty leadership, experiential learning, project-based learning, instructional technology, curriculum and instruction, or related field.
Licenses and Certification:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license.
Must be insurable through the organization’s insurers.
Must have completed the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
Must have completed the Higher Ed Peer Reviewer (PRC) course or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
Must have completed the Applying the QM Rubric Online Facilitator Certification (AOFC) or be able to complete training within 6 months of hire.
In addition to the training/certifications listed above, the Master Reviewer Certification (MRC) is preferred.
Motor Vehicle Report is required in addition to background check and drug screen.
