DISPATCHER Primary Responsibilities Responsible for executing daily scheduling/routing strategies for targeted on time performance and route productivity; Analyzes departures from base, breaks, lunches and returns to base for adherence to run cut; Analyzes established and changing passenger riding patterns in order to adjust daily routing strategies accordingly; Answer passenger calls collecting all necessary trip information for the permissible time period; Provide system information for current and new passengers as well as for potential passengers on accessing the transportation service and using it effectively; Provides operational, on-time compliance and other miscellaneous reports.
Tasks Performed This is a responsible, non-supervisory position.
Duties include constructing daily vehicle routes for safe productive passenger pick-ups and drop-off’s in a transit/paratransit environment; Develops and implements paratransit and route trips for daily schedules; Analyzes historical route information, reviews travel patterns, scheduling efficiencies, improved timelines and overall performance to ensure quality service; Analyzes and adjusts system routing parameters, as needed, for scheduling efficiencies; Communicate effectively with management as it pertains to strategic objectives; Organizes and conducts activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance; Tracks and reports adherence to run cut structure and communicates issue to management.
