Responsibilities:
Basic maintenance and upkeep of truck: checking fluids, tire pressure, reporting issues
Assisting with pulling orders and quality control of products.
Verifying contents of load
Loading and unloading the truck (with assistance and on rare occasion without)
Adjustment and conveyance of invoices to clients
Customer relations: As our representative you will be the main person the clients deal with
Work in all weather conditions
Punctuality and attendance: As a driver you make sure the trucks get out on time to complete all deliveries per day
In off seasons, the expectation is to assist and work on nursery operations
Requirements:
Valid Texas Driver's License: A current Texas driver's license with a clean record is a must
Ability to sit for extended periods, stand for extended periods, occasionally crouch, stoop, bend, lift up to 35 lbs
Ability to navigate: We deliver to many places within a 200 mile radius
A driver will have multiple stops per day and must be able to reach them in a reasonable amount of time
Proficiency in Operating Large Trailers and Trucks: Skilled with Gooseneck and Bumper Pull Trailers
No CDL Required: Preferred but Not Required
Bi-lingual (English / Spanish): Preferred but Not Required
Benefits:
Pay starts at $17 - $21/hr , based off experience
Expected hours: 40 per week, 45+ hrs during busy season
