As Front of House for Vogt Auction Galleries, YOU would be the face of the company – the staff member that our valuable customers encounter first - whether in person, by phone, or by email.
We’re looking for someone who can represent the auction house in a professional, friendly, and effective way.
And just as important, be in charge of some of the basic operations duties of the auction house, with an emphasis on making the jobs of your co-workers easier and the consumer experience easy and memorable.

Responsibilities and Duties
· Greets customers; handles general inquiries and directs customers to relevant departments
· Answers and directs incoming phone calls and general information emails
.
Coordinates invoicing and accounts receivable
· Places outgoing phone calls to remind customers of upcoming events
· Conducts repetitive operations activities such as daily opening and closing procedures
· Prepares clerking materials for auction events
· Processes customers, absentee bids and contacts customers of bidding success
· Coordinates with appropriate personnel on post-sale collection, shipping and payment and implements scheduled reminder procedures
-Works auction events, ensuring customer inquiries are answered and that the checkout process is quick and efficient
· Manages incoming and outgoing mail
· Manages staff appointments and schedules
· Maintains inventory of office and event supplies and orders as appropriate
· Handles light cleaning and organizational duties
· Escalates appropriate issues to the Operations Manager as necessary
· Assists with special projects and errands as necessary

· To achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service standards
· To maintain accurate business records to include those of customers and accounts receivable
Qualifications & Required Skills
· Friendly, organized, professional and reliable
· Excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills
· Ability to pay close attention to detail
· Process problem solving and analytical skills
· Has the ability to represent Vogt Auction Galleries in an articulate, friendly, patient and polite manner
· Ultra-organized
· Excellent telephone skills
· Understanding of computer and online systems and can convey them in an easy-to-understand manner to the consumer.
· A calm and patient demeanor that can help customers to troubleshoot their problems
· Bilingual in Spanish a plus
· Interest in art & antiques a plus
