Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Release Management Specialist II to join the team at San Antonio, TX.
The Release Management Specialist II is a journeyman-level position that oversees the release management process for IT applications and services.
They plan, coordinate, and execute release activities across different environments, such as development, testing, staging, and production.
They ensure releases meet quality standards and comply with security policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Define and document release management strategy, policies, and procedures for IT operations; collaborate with development, testing, operations, and security teams to plan and schedule release activities and resources; manage release pipeline and monitor progress and status of releases Communicate with stakeholders and provide updates on release deliverables, risks, and issues; coordinate and facilitate release readiness reviews, deployment approvals, and post-release evaluations; ensure releases are deployed in a timely and consistent manner across different environments using automated tools and scripts Troubleshoot and resolve release-related problems that occur during or after deployment; conduct quality assurance and security audits on releases and ensure they meet standards and requirements; collect and analyze feedback and metrics on releases and identify areas for improvement; and maintain and update release documentation, records, and reports Experience/Education 4 years+ related experience required Bachelors Degree required A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
Certifications: DoD 8570.
01-m IAT Level-II Certification.
DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Software Development or related discipline.
2 years of experience in an Agile development environment.
Clearance: TS/SCI required Physical Requirements: Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
Maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.
S.
-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
