SWBC is seeking a talented individual to develop, execute, and implement Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI), Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Insurance, Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI), Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC), and Lender Placed Insurance (LPI) products ensuring accuracy, integrity, and customer satisfaction in order to meet the insurance and compliance requirements of Financial Institutions, insurance carriers and government regulators.
This individual performs troubleshooting and problem resolution; and acts as a liaison between internal/external business units and Information Technology to onboard and maintain clients on a variety of products, programs, and applications.
Essential duties include the following: Provides subject matter expertise in all products administered by Product Administration, including but not limited to Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI), Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP), Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI), Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC), and Lender Placed Insurance (LPI) products; while providing technical support and answering questions and following up on issues.
Provides troubleshooting support and problem resolution for internal/external business units on a variety of products, applications and programs; recreates errors, determines root causes, and offers resolutions; formulates and executes an action plan to include verifying systems/products impacted, isolating root cause, devising a resolution, and engaging appropriate resources and business stakeholders; tests product additions, system changes, and enhancements to ensure data integrity; and prioritizes by taking into consideration the impact on business operations.
Reviews and maintains master policies to include renewals, endorsements, state regulations, and compliance changes; stays abreast of laws and regulations for each individual state to ensure compliance; and provides coverage for the Financial Institution’s uninsured properties and to ensure protection against financial loss as applicable to each product.
Reviews file data content to ensure all coverage types included in the file were accurately proposed by the insurance carrier; serves as a system expert and analyzes underwriting criteria for Financial Institutions; prepares and issues master policies based on the insurance carrier’s coverage proposal; and implements rates, deductibles, coverage limits, coverage types, property types, collateral types, reports, fees, taxes, and state regulated forms ensuring accurate setup of the account into the system as applicable to each product.
Creates and maintains access to AP Portal application for Financial Institutions and their administrators; ensures appropriate security access is granted and communicates credentials through a secured email as applicable to each product; and provides troubleshooting support to ensure optimal user experience.
Defines business processes, procedures, and requirements for new products/projects as well as opportunities for process improvement based on the needs of business units; updates system parameters to support new products/projects; gathers and writes business requirements for any program enhancement or change.
Analyzes system settings for accurate reporting; determines state taxes and fees based on the master policy; and designs and creates a New Business Report with the above information for each Financial Institution and submits to Accounting.
Work with Management to gather & provide documentation and answer questions in relation to audits.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Some college courses in Accounting preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Financial Services.
Minimum of two (2) years of specialized experience in insurance products administrative, technical, and customer service support utilizing software applications and processing account receivables or closely related experience.
Proficient knowledge of business processes and developing knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Proficient organizational and planning and multi-tasking skills.
Developing skills in collecting and analyzing data.
Basic negotiation skills.
Proficient in managing priorities and deadlines skills.
Working problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate and interact effectively via verbal and written communications.
Able to work collaboratively and build relationships.
Able to analyze, organize, and prioritize work and be adaptable.
Working Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
Able to type 35 WPM.
Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
Sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
Push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs.
