The Senior Staff Software Engineer role will leverage your high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking, offering the opportunity to significantly impact the direction and success of software development projects within the organization.
Qualifications: US citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field is highly preferred.
4 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
6 years of professional experience in software development, with a substantial record in successfully leading complex software projects.
Advanced certifications in relevant programming languages (e.
g.
, Java, C++, Python) are highly regarded.
Certifications or substantial experience in Agile methodologies (e.
g.
, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist) are beneficial.
Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.
g.
, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
Major Responsibilities: Advanced Software Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.
Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.
Technical Leadership and Strategy: Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for software development teams.
Drive innovation and best practices in software engineering.
Architecture Design: Architect robust, scalable, and efficient software systems that align with business needs and future scalability.
Mentorship and Team Building: Mentor junior and intermediate software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
Project and Resource Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Efficiently manage resources and priorities.
Problem Solving and Innovation: Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
Stay ahead of the curve in adopting new technologies and methodologies to improve product and process.
Quality Assurance and Testing: Ensure the highest standards of software quality through rigorous development and testing methodologies.
Agile Practices and Process Improvement: Champion Agile practices, leading teams in an Agile environment.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes for better efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Documentation and Reporting: Produce comprehensive documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and development processes.
Communicate technical aspects and project progress to stakeholders effectively.
Research and Development: Lead research on emerging software development trends, tools, and methodologies.
Propose and implement new technologies and practices to enhance product development and performance.
Security and Compliance: Ensure software development adheres to best practices in security and compliance.
Proactively identify and mitigate security risks in software design and implementation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and quality assurance, to ensure successful, cohesive product development and deployment.
