Who We Are:
Financial Data Systems supports SwRI through the development of software that is utilized by various business groups and research divisions.
Work hours allow employees to flex their shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Additionally, employees have the option to work from home on Mondays and Friday.
Objectives of this Role:
Working on small teams under the direction from senior staff, the employee will develop and maintain .
NET applications for the Financial Data Systems Section.
A new employee will have the opportunity to support a wide range of users, including staff from Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Contracts, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, and all technical research divisions.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders throughout the entire software development lifecycle to ensure that requirements are met, and effective solutions are developed to support the mission of SwRI.
The employee will use tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio and PL/SQL Developer to develop software solutions for their stakeholders.
Develop, test, and deploy web applications using C#, VB.
NET, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and other relevant technologies.
Write SQL queries and scripts, to support those applications, within our Oracle database.
Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Coursework in Business Administration and/or Accounting is a plus.
0-5 years: Experience in SQL or database
Interest in learning and working in .
NET, be able to be trained in C# and VB.
