The Salesforce Functional Business Analyst 2 can work within traditional waterfall project teams or within a strategic, agile, DevOps project team.
Observing and documenting the current state objectively and developing clear solution requirements through influence, facilitation, and communication.
The individual will gain an understanding of the customers, identify business problems that need to be solved, and document the current state drivers of those problems.
The individual will need to map process flows, capture data requirements, create user stories, and document findings in a format understandable to all stakeholders.
Salesforce Functional Business Analyst 2 will serve as a liaison among IT, business partners, product owners, architects, data analysts, quality assurance analysts, project managers, executives, and software vendors in the evaluation, design, development, and implementation of solutions.
The individual must be able to adapt their messaging to the audience and bridge the communication gap between stakeholder groups.
It also requires partnering with both onshore and offshore software developers in agile, scrum, or waterfall project solution design and execution.
The individual will also need to facilitate among stakeholders to drive consensus toward a solution.

Essential Functions: • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission • Contribute to and execute an overall IT strategy to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives • Gathers data, creates process flow diagrams, captures design interfaces, documents process maps, identifies root cause to issues, provides solid solutions, analyzes inputs and outputs to arrive at logical conclusions, translates business requirements into technical specifications, maps traceability from business need through requirements to test cases, and creates readable and functional documentation; which may include JAD, screen designs, report layouts, interfaces, features, stories, use cases, data models and mapping, inputs, outputs, and test cases • Participates in the QA process to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized • Process Mapping and Engineering Experience Required • Mentors, leads and supports other IT team members to understand and utilize best practices • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards • Performs other duties as assigned Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of work experience required • Basic qualifications include 3+ years of business analysis experience with a focus on HOLT Management systems required • Minimum 3 years of technical business or functional analyst experience and demonstrated ability to see a project through from beginning to end including creation of business requirements and formal documentation during the solution development life cycle required • Process Mapping and Engineering Experience Required • Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills required • Experience with workflow design required • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Collaborative • Naturally inquisitive, works well with others, and understands when, what, and how to communicate • Partners with the project manager throughout the entire project life cycle to ensure clear objectives are defined and documented, the definition of done is clear, the execution of deliverables meet requirements and business needs, and tasks and the project itself are closed out appropriately based on defined and documented requirements; May be brought in to assist on project risk and issue resolution as needed • Works with project leadership to develop alternative solutions to address the organizational pain within resource and schedule constraints • Conducts discovery session and one-on-one interviews to gather input for requirements; Solicits and embraces feedback from others • Facilitates, influences, and leads team-member peers in designing and defining solutions which may include the ideation, discovery, initiation, and business requirements phases of a project • Partners with the product owner and scrum master to assist with managing the product and sprint backlogs • Partners with the Technical Analyst and Development team to ensure that they understand the specifications Innovative • Understands the business need/case and develops novel/creative solutions to meet business needs • Recommends method and procedural changes, defines and documents improvements • Continually develop a deeper understanding of the business best practices Communication • Effective business communication skills across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders; • Understands the best and most appropriate mode and tone of communication • Collaborate with business partners and project teams to gather requirements, translate requirements into technical design, and implement solutions in RTB • Work with the training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted to help develop a change management/training plan • Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team; Participates in the QA process to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized • Maintain project methodologies and procedures for projects, platforms, features, teams, divisions, and relevant company-wide processes Analytical • Natural ability to understand and synthesize business information, requirements, processes, and issues • Elicits information to form customer/business partner software product usage, customer behavior, or other business metrics • Captures business processes, requirements, capabilities, features, and data requirements for new and existing software product solutions Problem Solving • Applies analytical skills to understand the desired outcomes, root problems, and devices, communicates, and tests theories and concepts to ensure the effectiveness of solutions • Develop solution, requirement, and discovery documents for internal and external review • Support the project team in identifying training needs (end-user and power-user) for team members as well as end users • Act as the escalation point for production issues during the life of the platform • Detail-oriented individual with the capacity to rapidly increase new customers, their business needs, and advancements • Demonstrates adaptability and readiness to take the necessary steps to take care of business Organization • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities and follows through on projects and meet timelines.
Identifies tools/technologies optimal to managing important tasks • Synthesizes information gathered from multiple sources, assisting in the identification of symptoms and root causes • Assists in maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the usage of software products; Attends and participates in IT Change Control & Prioritization meetings and helps in the discovery and estimating of the impact of change on end-user communities • Work on multiple simple to complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously • Showcase (demonstrate) work deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders • Design and develop workflow and functional diagrams to demonstrate proposed solutions to clients and internal teams, including spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps • Follows current standard practices and recommends changes to improve the process • Ability to juggle and organize various undertakings inside a collective group condition Travel: • Up to 20%, to include overnight stays, may include an annual software user conference **This position is remote** Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
