We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team.
As a Land Surveyor specializing in electrical and utilities, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate land assessments and surveys for the planning and execution of electrical infrastructure projects.
*Position Overview:* The Land Surveyor - Electrical and Utilities will be responsible for conducting comprehensive land surveys, collecting data, and providing precise measurements for the design and implementation of electrical and utilities projects.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of land surveying principles within the context of electrical infrastructure.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Site Assessments:*
* Conduct detailed land surveys to assess topographical features, boundaries, and existing infrastructure.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand electrical and utilities project requirements.
* Utilize advanced surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS, and surveying specific software, to collect accurate and reliable data.
* Ensure the collection of necessary information for electrical infrastructure planning and design.
* Analyze legal descriptions, land records, and maps to determine property boundaries and easements relevant to electrical projects.
* Resolve boundary discrepancies and provide clear documentation of survey findings.
* Identify and map existing utility lines, ensuring accurate information is available for the design and installation of electrical infrastructure.
* Coordinate with utility companies and regulatory bodies as needed.
* Work closely with management and design teams to provide survey support during project planning and execution.
* Verify as-built conditions and ensure compliance with design specifications.
* Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings.
* Maintain accurate records of survey data, ensuring documentation meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
* Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
* Proven experience in land surveying with a focus on electrical and utilities projects.
* Proficiency in surveying software and equipment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
