*Job Responsibilities*
* help provide classroom instruction/supervision
* take charge of class in absence of lead teacher
* must be able to lift up to 50lbs, push and hold child to show affection
* responsible for organizing and/or planning classroom learning environment after lead teacher leaves
* helps lead teacher assess each child's development needs
* writes and implements afternoon lesson plans on a daily basis
* must be flexible to move from age group/classrooms as needed
* must be flexible due to child/employee ratio when it comes to schdeule for the day
* help keep the children engage in play-based learning
* must ensure that all rule and regulations of the school and licensing agencies are observed
*Qualifications*
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
Skills:
- Experience working with infants/toddlers (infant care)
- Previous experience as a nanny or in-home childcare provider (nannying)
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques (behavior management)
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and teaching methods (preschool)
- Understanding of daycare regulations and licensing requirements (daycare)
- Understanding of childhood development milestones (childhood development)
- Ability to work well with children of different ages (experience with children)
- Strong classroom management skills (classroom management)
- Knowledge of special education principles and strategies (special education)
