Country Day Montessori seeks a certified Primary Montessori Teacher for a full-time position for the Fall.
Salary is based on education and experience.
We welcome people with children who would like to attend the school, however, the pay would change to cover a bit of the tuition.
After the probationary period, teachers enjoy several paid weeks off annually, as well as most holidays.
An option for health insurance contributions is available as well.
Located in the North-Eastern quadrant of San Antonio, the school has served children from New Braunfels to South San Antonio for over thirty years.
Our spacious four-acre campus has plenty of room for children and teachers to stretch their legs, breathe in deep, and enjoy nature.
Infant, Pre-Primary, and Primary classes are held in a home that was converted into a child care center thirty years ago.
It is filled with Montessori manipulatives and curriculum to serve our students.
The perfect candidate will have several years' experience in a Montessori classroom.
Candidates should be highly motivated, independent, reliable, and collabrorative.

Duties:
- Educate primary school students in various subjects, including math, science, social studies, and language arts.
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to address student needs and promote a cohesive educational experience.
- Foster a love of learning and encourage student engagement through creative teaching methods.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.
Skills:
- Experience working with primary school students in a classroom or similar setting.
- Strong classroom management skills to effectively handle behavior management.
- Knowledge of literacy education and strategies for promoting reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Understanding of childhood development stages and the ability to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Proficient in lesson planning to create engaging and effective lessons that meet educational objectives.
Note: Additional skills such as experience in daycare or tutoring can be added based on specific requirements or preferences.
