Our ideal caregiver will be high-energy and excited to spend their weekends doing family and children activities.

*Requirements*:
* Willing to meet in-person/go through a trial/training period
* Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs
* Must have own transportation/clean driving record
* Non-smoker
* Comfortable with cats/dogs
* NO criminal history/clean background check
* Experience with special needs children (G Tube experience would be nice but not a must-have, we can train you)
* Experience with preschool age children
* This is a *weekend-only* position (see below for more details) so please read availability requirements below.
Overnights are also a part of the position (we have a guest room) so please be prepared for that as well.
Main responsibility will be for is 9 y/o girl (Auri) with a genetic disorder that has delayed her mobility, communication, and development overall.
Mentally/emotionally, she probably functions close to that of a 9 month old.
She is learning/knows some sign language, can butt-scoot around the house, and is wheelchair-bound otherwise.
Additionally, there is a 4 year old girl and 11 year old boy (mostly self-sufficient) who will need care as well.
While Auri will be the primary focus, experience with preschool age children is a must because you will be responsible for all children on occasion.
Mom/Dad are often in the house as well (although occasional out of town trips might be taken, or dates/errands run).
*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*
* Diaper changes
* Feeding (mostly through a G-Tube)
* Speech/OT/PT therapy sessions (with training/direction from parents)
* Ability to lift 60 lbs
* Engagement in activities, both in and out of the house
* Light house-cleaning (only when time permits)
* Playing with both/all children
* Bedding changes/laundry for Auri
* Bath/shower time
* Cuddling/holding/comforting
* Nightly prep for the following day
* Ordering/keeping track of her medical supplies/medicines

We need a caregiver for the weekends.
Shifts will alternate between “long” weekends with overnight care and “short” weekends with daytime care only.
* This is a W2 position – we do take taxes out/pay into taxes.
* Alternating weekends:
* Friday at 3pm to Sunday at 8pm (aka LONG weekend), then next weekend is:
* 11am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday (aka SHORT weekend)
* No official breaks during shifts, but Auri does take a nap/rest period for an hour each day.
* *Salary: $37,000/yr; paid on 1st and 15th of the month*
*PTO/Sick Time:*
* A long weekend off will count for 5 days of PTO/sick time
* A short weekend off counts for 3 days of PTO/sick time
* 10 days sick time/PTO combined
* Mothers Day (Sunday) - paid holiday
* Fathers Day (Sunday) - paid holiday
* Christmas Eve (Sunday) - paid holiday
* New Years Eve (Sunday) - paid holiday
