National e-commerce company based in Cibolo, TX has an immediate opening for a qualified applicant in our sales department.
MUST HAVE previous sales experience.
We've been selling our luxury furniture products on our web sites for 15+ years.
We also sell on Amazon and Wayfair.
Your job is to take inbound phone calls and guide the customers through our product line that is easily navigated through our web sites.
Ensure you place the right order for the right items, make sure you upsell our additional accessories and warranty, be helpful to the customer, and you will be successful.
Some customers buy right away within the next 6-10 minutes over the phone.
Some customers require follow-up calls and emails.
Our average sales rep will sell 20-40% of the customers they interact with, which is the difference between $45,000 a year and $120,000 a year.
We have six sales reps in our sales department but would like to add two more.
To be considered successful, you must maintain a sales conversion rate that is at the average of the entire team or higher.
For example if our 8-member team averages 32% sales conversion rate this month, your percentage should be higher than that to be considered successful.
Make sure you pitch warranties to your customers and sell at least 25% of them.
Our average transaction is about $3,500 so our sales reps make sure to show the customers different product models, rather than only low-priced models.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Take 15-40 inbound sales calls each day and guide the customers to a sale.
On average, 20-40% of our sales calls will result in a sale.
- Take customer appointments in our Cibolo, TX showroom.
On average, 55% of our showroom customers will purchase (if properly assisted by the sales rep).
- Make follow-up calls or write follow-up emails DAILY to maximize your conversion rate.
- Answer basic customer service calls from customers that have already purchased (checking status of their orders and basic product troubleshooting).
- Ensure you follow our procedures to ensure you don't make mistakes with shipping fees, order the wrong product SKUs, order the wrong color, etc.
Basic stuff but not to be taken for granted because that is where mistakes happen.
Requirements:
- Work in our Cibolo, TX office/showroom
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have minimum 2 years of inside sales experience, preferably with high-ticket sales
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Computer knowledge of Windows, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Outlook and web browsing
- Be able to type at least 30 words per minute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic math skills
- Positive attitude, high energy, exemplary attendance and total team player
- Full-time, about 40 hours a week including one weekend day (perhaps Sunday-Thursday or Saturday-Wednesday or Friday-Tuesday as potential examples)
