Vintage 36" CocaCola Bar Sign - $450 (San Antonio near Thousand Oaks Blvd.)

Have proof of provenance, rare for a sign like this.
Shows typical wear.
The old photo is of the sign in our living room with my sons, who now are 36 and 44.
I have always resisted the urge to polish or wax this.
It is exactly as found and always kept indoors.
For many years this sign adorned a bar on Main Street in Tigard, Oregon.
About 40 years ago they remodeled the bar and threw this into a dumpster.
A friend who knew I was a collector saw it and called me.
Needless to say ten minutes later it had moved from the dumpster to my truck! At some point in its life CocaCola repainted this, a common practice since these convex signs were expensive to make.
There is some flaking of paint, shown in the photo.
Over all though it is in good shape for something exposed to the Oregon weather for so many years.
Displays very well and gets a lot of attention.
A rare piece of history we just don't have room for anymore in our small retirement home.
