Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a senior RF systems engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division.
JOB DETAILS LOCATION: San Antonio, TX TRAVEL: 5% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
Top secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor or masters degree in a rigorous technical discipline.
US government acquisition experience required.
RF experience required Kubernetes and Docker experience required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Jira and Confluence experience desired Cyber, IT, or software development experience desired RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide system engineering, support, & training for offensive cyber programs and initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, test & evaluation, sustainment, evolution, deployment, and operations oversight Conduct reviews on program portfolio improving systems engineering programs/processes assuring performance is achieved IAW approved specifications Define and specify new capabilities tailored to customer's mission needs Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective actions Perform system validation, including criteria development/procedures Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with USAF processes What We Offer Competitive salaries Continuing education assistance Professional development allotment Multiple healthcare benefits packages 401K with employer matching Paid time off (PTO) along with a federally recognized holiday schedule Who We Are At Astrion, we innovate, elevate, and shape the world of tomorrow.
