Position Summary The Admissions Coordinator functions as a member of a dynamic admissions team dedicated to providing superior service to prospective students and helping to maintain a seamless application process.
This position supports recruitment, community events and other student events.
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for various administrative duties in support of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Biomedical Sciences application and interview process.
This position reports to and supports the Associate Dean of Enrollment and External Affairs.

Job Duties Job Duty Name Essential Duties Description of Job Duties Coordinates and communicates with prospective students at each stage of the admissions process.
Greets visitors.
Responds to student phone calls and emails.
Assists with the admissions application processes, including grade calculations, scanning documents, and social media checks.
Assists with the implementation of recruitment events.
Assists with interview preparation.
Reconciles travel expenses and manages other budget-related items.
Provides support for admissions committees and various other school committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet software, internet, current social media outlets, and use of computers and general office equipment.
Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure to ensure that written communication is complete, concise, and error-free.
Ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Required Education High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Work Experience Two (2) years of prior work experience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet software, and current social media outlets.
Preferred Qualifications Work experience in higher education.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None specified.
Work Hours Typical Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional extended hours/weekends to meet departmental needs and/or needs of the learning community.
Physical Demands Ability to transport up to 20lbs for various office needs and events such as moving of boxes, pushcart, or tables.
