*Primary duties include, but may not be limited to:* * Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
* Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
* Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
* Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
* Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
* Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Manager and other staff.
* Collaborates with the Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
* Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
* Assists Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
* Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
* Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
*Additional duties may include:* * Being the first point of contact for the office working in the front office * Greeting clients and answering client phone calls * Making sure office is adequately supplied * Sending client correspondence, as needed * Supporting teams within the organization * Assisting in the preparation of client invoices and other materials needed for client meetings * Filing, scanning, and copying documents * Maintaining and optimizing a systematic filing protocol * Performing research for a variety of projects, events, and office enhancement as needed * Other duties as necessary *Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field * Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks * Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable * Strong data entry skills * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Prior experience in corporate accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.
