Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Cybersecurity Administrator to provide senior-level technical direction and engineering knowledge for cyber support activities for US Army North, located at Fort Sam Houston, a US Army post in San Antonio, TX.
The Help Desk and Cyber Support Team provides local desktop support to approximately 900 users operating approximately 1,500 NIPRNET Computers, 70 multi-function devices (printers), 1,000 wireless devices (smartphones etc.
) and various other endpoints.
The Help Desk also provides telephonic support to approximately 300 forward-stationed users at various locations throughout the United States.
Responsibilities: Periodically scan the NIPRNET and provide a weekly brief on the vulnerabilities and risks detected.
Under Government direction, ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Cybersecurity certification in accordance with DoD 8570.
01– M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, and DoDI 8500.

This includes the management of the G6 portion of the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) process and the performance PKI Enhanced Trusted Agent duties, issuing and revoking SIPRNET and Administrator tokens for ARNORTH personnel.
The required standard is 100% of all SAAR processed within five workdays of notification.
Assist the Government in preparing cybersecurity audits, inspections, training, policy, and other staff actions.
The cybersecurity staff shall inspect all remote user sites once per year and provide the P-ISSM with an inspection report no later than 5 workdays after completion.
Inspection will conform to the guidance in AR 1-201, Army Inspection Policy.
Respond to security incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the networks responding to cyber events IAW Command Incident Response Plan.
Be prepared to respond to security emergencies during non-duty hours within 2 hours of notification, assisting the government in tracking incidents from discovery to resolution.
Investigating additions and changes to cybersecurity processes to identify, measure, and control threats to minimize the unauthorized disclosure of information via monitoring, IAVAs, and cost-effective countermeasures.
COR will provide guidance to the Contractor on what investigations to undertake, including desired report format, briefing format, and due date.
Implement changes at Fort Sam Houston and at remote sites.
Document integration of procedure changes, organization hardware and software acceptance testing, and mitigation procedures in accordance with organization and industry standards.
Create weekly IAVA status report and work with other Leads to identify, patch and correct vulnerabilities.
Assist the government by providing research, documentation, artifacts, and administrative support for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for the Command’s NIPRNET, DDASS, deployable C2 node type accreditations, future IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployments, and other accreditations as required.
Assist the government in implementing cyber domain operations (CDO).
Assist the Government P-ISSM in managing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using the eMASS Portal, including RMF processes for on-premises, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS employments.
Work with the other Leads to implement any required corrective action.
Provide assistance and oversight for all information systems operations activities, including computer configuration, operations, data entry, data control, LAN/MAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, Microsoft Office 365 administration, and/or web strategy and operations.
Support a variety of IT systems and deploy commercial of the shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies including Microsoft, Linux, networking NSA Type 1 encryption devices, VOIP, email, video teleconferencing, and common desktop productivity tools.
Support a variety of SaaS offerings including productivity suites such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google G Suite; and Cloud storage such as Microsoft OneDrive or Google Cloud.
Support surge requirements of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during key exercises or real-world events.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: High School Diploma w/ 6-9 years of experience Certifications: DoD 8570.
01-M IAT Level II certification Clearance: Active Secret 7 Years of Cybersecurity experience.
Knowledge of Computer Systems Administration.
Detailed understanding of the configuration, management, and use of security information and event management (SIEM) software (SPLUNK or Elastic), including properly reacting to SIEM events Demonstrated experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Ability to manage the system vulnerability identification and resolution process in order to support the network accreditation process.
Ability to manage Host Based Security System (HBSS) enterprise configurations following the guidance in the DISA HBSS Tier 3 Operations Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures guide.
Demonstrated experience assisting government P-ISSMs to manage the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using the eMASS Portal, including RMF process for on-premises, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS employments.

Posted Pay Range The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
