Job Title: Accounting Specialist I (part-time)
Summary:
The part-time Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate completion of all bank accounting activities.
This position is responsible for a wide range of accounting operations, including accounts payable, daily and monthly reconciliations, and monthly close procedures.
Wage Type: Hourly (Non-exempt)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Participate in monthly close procedures.
Prepare account reconciliations, including cash and other balance sheet accounts.
Contribute to corporate accounting activities, such as accounts payable.
Analyze financial accounts and prepare journal entries.
Assist in the preparation of external and internal audits.
Research and resolve account reconciliation items.
Participate in the development and implementation of procedures to streamline financial institution accounting processes.
Prepare and send business correspondence.
Support other team members, as necessary.

Reports to: Director of Accounting

Qualifications:
Education:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
2 years of experience in accounting processes, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accruals, monthly close, and reconciliations.
Preferred banking experience: wires, ACH, exception processing.
Desired Experiences:
Good understanding of accounting principles.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
