The associate will help us carry out our mission by 1) having a passion to learn and 2) providing an excellent service to our clients.
They will receive countless hours of training and one-on-one coaching (generosity of time, by both coach and coachee), ultimately leading to a breadth of expertise in their practice area.
Responsibilities:
Develops an understanding of the business and the Associate role.
Develops technical skills both on the job and through formal learning channels.
Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
Seeks to gain knowledge of client businesses.
Effectively documents work.
As a member of the team - implements solutions for clients.
Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner.
Works hard, putting in extra effort when necessary to complete assignments within given deadlines.
Actively self-starts, doesn't need to be explicitly told to put in effort; when set, meets weekly/engagement hours expectations.
Volunteers for additional work when there is capacity; raises concerns when well over capacity.
Participates in office wide initiatives – events, volunteering etc.
Helps new hires and interns integrate, teaching them about their work and making them feel a part of the team.
Builds strong team relationship skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
1+ years of accounting experience, some or all of which was in public accounting.
Great attitude and willingness to learn!
