Position: DoD Jr.
Financial Analyst Location: Joint Base San Antonio, Texas Clearance: Secret Work Environment: On Site Knowesis is seeking a DoD Jr.
Financial Analyst to support the Army Medical Command (MEDCOM).
The incumbent will provide financial support to the Department of the Army, Army MEDCOM utilizing various Army financial systems.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance and possess U.
S.
Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Applicants without proof of U.
S.
Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements.
The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Support in facilitating the Triannual Review, based on F&A direction, with MEDCOM subordinate organizations to determine the accuracy and status of all recorded commitments, obligations, expenses, and disbursements.
Providing subject matter expertise and over-the-shoulder support in GFEBS Financial and Funds Management modules to support MEDCOM’s analysis of GFEBS transactions and accounting procedures.
Recommending solutions for processing deobligations in GFEBS for aged ULOs that are no longer valid.
Providing financial reporting services to government leadership in MEDCOM/OTSG.
Providing monthly Status of Fund reports based on General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to subordinate organizations showing obligation rates and remaining balances by the 5th of the month for last month’s performance to the Chief of Program and Budget MEDCOM G8.
Providing resource allocation assistance to support the assessment and funding distribution to various commodities to include but not limited to Civilian Pay, contracts and travel.
Conduct monthly reconciliation on Open Commitments to research, troubleshoot and make recommendations to obligate or de-commit and return open commitments and unliquidated obligations.
Providing subject matter expertise to government leadership in MEDCOM HQ/OTSG, to the regions, and to Army MTFs to include support in the GFEBS Financial and Funds Management modules to support MEDCOM/OTSG’s analysis of GFEBS transactions and accounting procedures.
Recommending solutions for processing de-obligations in GFEBS for aged Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) that are no longer valid.
Other financial management and DTS support as requested.
Required Qualifications: At least one year of experience in the Army financial systems, including knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) Defense Travel System (DTS) Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) Excess Defense Articles (EDA) Corporate Electronic Document Management System (CEDMS) Integrated Automated Travel System (IATS) Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Military Health System is a plus Technical Writing is a plus Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Knowesis is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
