GENERAL PURPOSE: This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable activities, reviewing and approving expense reports, working under tight deadlines, and processing year end tax forms.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Processing and Documentation: Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Process vendor invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts.
Understand GL expense accounts and cost centers.
Manage all Concur expense report processing, including review of expense reports, analyzing receipts to verify accuracy and entering these into the account system.
Training and continuous education of staff in using Concur expense reporting platform.
Maintain all vendor W-9’s and process 1099’s at year end.
Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills, and Communication: Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to assist others as needed.
Establishes a good rapport with co-workers, vendors, customers, employees, and management staff.
Maintains an orderly, confidential, and safe work environment.
Communicates appropriately with patience and tact.
Communicates effectively with accounting department staff.
Organization and Time Management: Organizes schedule to ensure maximum efficiency in utilized to accomplish job responsibilities with the necessary timeframes.
Professional Standards: Adheres to the Code of Ethics policy.
Maintains confidentiality as described in the Patient Bill of Rights for any patient information.
Maintains professional appearance.
Maintains confidentiality of the Companies’ payments and financial information.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to all the Companies’ policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years’ related experience; prefer healthcare experience.
Two (2) years of experience with large automated accounting systems required.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Computer proficient and have demonstrated Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
) skills.
Must be capable of performing the job functions of this position with or without accommodation.
