We have a great opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our growing company!
We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our San Antonio, TX corporate location.
This is a hybrid role; we currently ask anyone who applies to be prepared for 4 days in office per week.

The actual days onsite are settled between each employee and the employee’s manager.
The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller.
This individual will work closely with the Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, Subsidy Billing, Operations Services teams as well as school employees.
The individual will also have regular interaction with agency representatives and other external parties which requires strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
This individual is responsible for supporting all aspects of accounts receivable, notes receivable/payable, intercompany & related party transactions, revenue cycle management, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, and provide other general accounting guidance as needed.
Further, this individual will be responsible for managing the financial audit and month end close.
There will be multiple accounting staff reporting to this role.
Responsibilities:
Participate month end close, prepare & review journal entries, and perform balance sheet reconciliation for more complex accounts.
Assist in acquisition integration.
Assist in management of the A/R team.
Support new childcare management system implementation.
Maintain chart of account and manage changes in the accounting system.
Contribute to interim and year end audits, including providing requested information and responding to the auditors’ inquiries.
Organize and maintain updated accounting procedures respective to assigned tasks.
Select and develop multiple accounting staff to build a high performing team.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related discipline required, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an increasingly responsible accounting position, including: month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
2 years’ supervisory experience required.
CPA License strongly preferred.
Public accounting firm experience a plus.
Multi-unit, multi-state background desired.
