Overview:
Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is seeking a dedicated staff accountant to join our family! The person in this role will support our accounting function with duties such as posting capital projects and associated depreciation to various ledgers, as well as assisting with the monthly general ledger closing process, to include bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accounting research, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations for month end close for all Sports franchises.
Analyze monthly general ledger transactions to make appropriate accrual and reclass journal entries.
Assist in compiling invoices for Capital spend and booking corresponding journal entries.
Assist with minor billing invoices and associated collection efforts to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with minor Accounts Payable duties as assigned.
Prepare schedules requested by 3rd party auditors or tax professionals (financial, sales tax, federal tax) as required.
Audit, monitor, recognize, and report any discrepancies or suspicious accounting activities by notifying necessary personnel immediately.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
3+ years general ledger and financial analysis experience
Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains preferred and/or a similar accounting software package.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork aptitude required.
Must be able to prioritize work when given multiple projects.
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with all levels in the organization.
