Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Location: San Antonio, TX
Clearance: Secret Clearance
Inalab Consulting has a contingent opening (based on contract award) for a Senior Software Developer to lead the development team supporting the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s (AFCEC) legacy Civil Engineering IT systems and applications.
Responsibilities: The Senior Software Developer will provide technical and management direction over a multi-disciplined development team.
Core responsibilities and duties will be: Provide programming support using all components of the Microsoft Visual Studio Suite and the ability to interface and develop interfaces with Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases.
Provide object-oriented application programming in gathering, application design, and prototyping with software and regression testing and application implementation.
Maintain current application programs and database interfaces in support of AFCEC requirements.
Tools and languages used are Microsoft Visual Studio Suite, SharePoint Designer, C#, and interface development with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Write clear and effective software documentation, and work with cybersecurity staff to provide required documentation for assessment and authorization packages.
Ensure all software development identifies and incorporates the Air Force Systems Engineering Processes (SEP).
Develop the SEP documentation such as the Initial Capabilities Document (ICD), Capability Development Document (CDD) Capability Production Document (CPD) and other relevant documentation deliverables.
Provide software performance, test, and evaluation support for any software packages maintained or developed, to include coordination on test plans, test procedures, and test results, and perform unit, system and regression testing on all software.
Follow the AFCEC configuration management plan processes and procedures.
Required Skills and Capabilities: Strong software programming/development skills and practical knowledge of Agile development processes, management of a development team, scheduling, prioritizing development activities, and software testing.
Good communication and organizational skills and ability to work closely with Government management and other technical personnel.
Educational and /or Experience Requirements: Candidates are required to have the following qualifications: Must have demonstrated experience working with various software security code analyzer tools (e.
g.
, SonarQube, Visual Studio, etc.
) Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related IT field Minimum of ten years of progressive software development experience in design, code, test, and implement desktop and web-based code for application following industry accepted design methodologies Demonstrated experience working on a program of similar size, scope and complexity Active Secret clearance, ability to gain an interim Secret clearance, or holds a successfully completed Tier 3 (T3) investigation or reinvestigation (T3R) Possesses an IASAE Level II certification (e.
g.
, CASP+ CE, CISSP or Associate, CSSLP) Additional desired qualifications (not required): A minimum of 5 years managing and coordinating staff in Civil or Environmental Engineering systems.
A minimum of 5 years of experience writing requirements and developing test/use cases to support and validate requirements.
Experience with Oracle, and architecting Oracle GoldenGate solutions for data replication.
Experience configuring, managing and sustaining an Azure DevSecOps platform in a DoD approved Cloud environment.
