Requires Secret Security Clearance Overview: Perform full range of duties in the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) supporting logistics services.
Primary Responsibilities: Maintain and perform all quality control and maintenance of assigned storage areas; Conducts inspections of all assigned supply areas and identifies and removes all unserviceable supplies.
Maintains a tracking system and log to ensure that packages are tracked, received, and distributed to various departments.
Provide assistance in the development of receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping medical and non- medical supplies and equipment.
Research items to determine source of supply and consolidate requests from customers.
Load and unload materials, check, assemble, and process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or customers.
Manages and controls stock based on customer preferences, demand, seasonal requirements item availability, sources of supply, problem items and shelf- life supplies.
Prepare local purchase document to purchase items.
Researches and makes corrections to any item discrepancies.
Reviews transaction registers reflecting demand history, acquisition, excesses, warehouses refusals, discrepancies, and other actions to determine effect on previous and current transactions.
Records expiration dates of short, dated items.
Stores material ensuring refrigeration, light protection, flammability, or other special accommodation or conditions.
Prepare and submit paperwork for review and approval by supervisor or logistics technician.
Reconciles error relations to receipt and control supplies; determine the cause of discrepancies.
Coordinate with government representative for specialized procedures and efforts to obtain urgent and critical shortage items in support of potential life or death emergency.
Reports and turns-in all unserviceable or excess medical material, to include controlled substances, flammable, corrosive and temperature sensitive material.
Assist staff in requesting and distributing required standard and/or non- standard, medical and non-medical supplies, pharmaceutical equipment.
Assist in preparing Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIP).
May perform duties as Equipment Custodian Manager, Reviews property book transaction register and equipment custodian transaction register to ensure transactions are properly documented and coded to 95% accuracy.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory duties associated with this position.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year experience over the previous 5 years in logistic operations Warehouse Specialist and logistic operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook software.
Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team; must exercise a positive, helpful demeanor, display courtesy and tact frequently under stressful situations.
Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A Common Access card (CAC) is required.
Security Clearance: Position requires U.

Citizenship, a US Government background check and may require a US Government SECRET Clearance If SECRET Clearance Level is required, candidate must also: Have a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.
S.
government administered Investigation.
Active Secret tier 1 must be maintained for the tenure of the contract.

Citizen to access to DoD computer systems.
