As an Industrial Facility Services Electrical Engineer II, you'll provide engineering expertise to ensure reliable performance and troubleshooting assistance and conduct continuous improvement work for electrical components across multiple warehouse and administrative facilities.

We are looking for: - a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering - 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing plant environments (for Plant Electrical) - 5+ years of experience in engineering design / operation of industrial electrical systems (for Campus Electrical) - Texas Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT / FE) (preferred What is the work? Engineering: PLANT ELECTRICAL [remove other section before posting] - Creates / maintains one-line models of electrical power distribution systems within assigned plants - Ensures development, completion, and currency of arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies for assigned MWT facilities - Inspects plant electrical systems on a periodic basis; observes new construction to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and industry safety standards - Applies experience and knowledge of low- and medium-voltage motor control centers, switchboards, lighting panels, and other electrical components for troubleshooting / repair of performance and safety issues - Serves as SME for plant electrical systems, providing support to maintenance teams as needed to troubleshoot intermittent issues and recover from unplanned outages or service interruption CAMPUS ELECTRICAL UTILITY [remove other section before posting] - Provides engineering support for the design, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of facility electrical systems from the utility meter to the building switchboard for multiple campus locations - Maintains campus electrical infrastructure design standards and one-line diagrams - Works day-to-day with consulting engineers as needed - Provides input to GC and design teams on regulatory / code compliance for electrical equipment as needed - Resolves outstanding electrical performance issues; recommends best solutions to fix or mitigate issues - Provides technical assistance to contractors - Keeps current on latest technical innovations in electrical engineering; maintains professional / technical knowledge; reviews professional publications, participates in professional societies; attends training / educational workshops - Provides electrical engineering expertise to maintenance teams - Provides technical guidance and training on electrical safe work practices Project Management: - Makes project site visits; evaluates, documents, and resolves issues to comply with design intent and construction documents - Provides outstanding customer service that delivers effective solutions to meet customer needs - Executes clear work plans, processes, and actions to support H-E-B's overall strategies and best interests, and achieve results - Provides expertise to cross-functional teams on plant electrical subjects What is your background? - Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering (ABET accredited program) - 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing plant environments (for Plant Electrical) - 5+ years of experience in engineering design / operation of industrial electrical systems (for Campus Electrical) - Experience in three phase systems, including transformers and campus distribution (for Campus Electrical) - Experience with high / med / low voltage power distribution, MCCs, breaker panels, switch stations, troubleshooting electrical issues, utility power, etc.
